useage of cross talk on motorcycle bracket races

Post by kevino »

Would it be possible to use cross talk in the motorcycle bracket program, same as in super pro? If not ,Why? Or could it be up to the person with the quicker dial in of the pair racing? Just a thought?

For now we won't be using cross talk in MC and here is why.

In Super Pro, most everyone is using a delay box, and those that don't have the option of running No/E.

Bikes don't have that option and right now few run a box. There are just not enough bikes to split the class. But we do run a blinder, so it is somewhat of a consolation.

I did a random pole and the feedback I got was that the majority of our bike racers want to keep it like it is now.

I have 1 more question about the cross talk issue. Could the rider with the Quicker dial put an "N" with their dial in to signify that they DIDNT want crosstalk used?I know Jimmy already has an "N"on his bike That way nothing would change for the racer that DONT want to use cross talk.It would still be available for racers who DO want to use it. Would that be an option? Kevin

Is there any chance that crosstalk can be used this upcoming season in the motorcycle??? I dont know why if someone DOESNT want to use it, They cant put an "N" by their dial in.I know of several racer that would come if the crosstalk was allowed to be used. The people that dont want to use the crosstalk by putting an "N" by their dial in makes it just like it was before , no changes to them.

It doesn't make me any difference whether they use cross talk or not. If they use a blinder, you just go off your first bulb.

From what I understand about cross talk I could care less if the guy beside me uses it or not. If I pull up to the line with an "N" in my dial his cross talk isn't used anyway... correct? If that is the case, I have no objections to someone using one when they race another person using it too. Now if it gives the rider using it an unfair advantage to the guy not using it when line up together, then BS and they should not be allowed since most of the riders ride old school (Manual launching). That's my 2 cents on the matter.

Also what's up with everyone going black on their bikes? Man we will be hard to see at night :) LOL

Cross talk is used when the faster bike is using a cross over delay box. It brings the first amber on for both bikes at the same time. The first flash of light is where you get a more consistent reaction. Putting an "N" on your motorcycle only works when you are the faster bike. Hope this helps.

I'll repeat what Carl said:
"For now we won't be using cross talk in MC and here is why.

We don't have crosstalk turned on in MC, so putting an N on your bike will not make a difference.

Yeah, Jimmy, but I'm bored!! No place to race.
I'm not for cross talk, either, I was just trying to explain it.
