How to remove rivets?

Brother in law bought a lift kit for his 92 F150. The radius arm brackets and pivot brackets for the TTB are all riveted on there are about 20 total. What is the best way to remove them? I thought about using a torch but didn't know if it would effect the strength of the frame? Also I'm afraid its going to catch all the grease and oil on fire that is on the frame. I cut an X in the the head of one and knocked the head off with an air hammer then beat it with a BFH but no luck!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

out in my field i not use a torch catch grass on fire ,,,why an X???cut below the head where it's smaller and head can fly off and hit you in the eye causing lots of $$ worth of doctor bills ,,,, i use a chiesel wth visegrips (have learned whn i think "oh i wont hit my hand" i'm usally wrong )rivets are put in hot so when they're braded over they fit holes tight so nothing moves around ,, so between the two pieces rivet may be a RCH bigger than the second hole ,, cut all heads off then worry about getting rivets out of second piece maybe then you can get it off and to a grinder ,, are rivets are where u can get them with a grinder of somekind??? ,, if useing a chiesel use a BFH and hit it hard dont just give love taps hit it hard and getrr done ,,, sounds like too much fun for me

Use a center punch in your air hammer and drive the rivits out with it. That should get the job done.

get ya a good drill bit and drill them out
