chassis cert

i have my 69 mustang roller for sale and have people asking about the chassis cert. i never had the car inspected and was wondering what to do here. how fast can a door car go without adhearing to a certain sfi specification? 25.4 goes to 8.49 and that is the slowest i see. can this car run 8.50 with just a visual check of the cage in nhra comp??

nobody knows??? whos running 9.50 and what did you have to do to be legal? does mokan do roll cage certifications?

NHRA has their own chassis certification system. Once a year (usually in the early spring) there is a certification day somewhere in the area.

As far as getting it certified outside of that, I think you can haul the car to the nearest inspectator and have them inspect the cage.

I don't have any of that info, maybe one of the other guys has more info on who does the inspections.

You can call any NHRA Division office and get a Tech to come out or you can take your car as Craig said to have it chassis inspection. Div 5s Bob Blackwell has my backing, Super Good Guy.

ok guys i got the mustang sold and i have started building a tube chassis 1960 falcon. i bought the sfi book and am building it to 25.4 spec. i plan to race mokan and trp. i can have the chassis ihra certd or nhra... does mokan do a cert day like you was talking early spring? if so who does it? heres a picture of the car and my progress on the chassis.

Don't bother getting an IHRA cert, I don't believe NHRA will honor it.

Right now I don't know of a certification day planned, talk usually starts in February about one.
