I believe they are a Perkins.

thanks for the info ,,,it might b same as a tractor motor or can put a bigger tractor motor n it ,,,thy say 83-84 were under powered and you worked the motor too hard so no mpg out of thm ,, not seen this truck yet thy say its low miles nice shape n barn ,one cyl dead might b simple as broke valve spring ( no comp) or bent push rod ,,,
