High School Drags

Postby whiplash on Fri Dec 28, 2012 8:38 am

For last couple of months the Parson Ks. High School has been working on a high school drags project. They are building a 79 Ford pick up that was donated to them, I have been working with these kids with their truck and they are ate up with this project GREAT group of kids. The last couple of days we have had the truck in my shop, building a chassis for the truck. These kids working and learning how chassis work for this truck I am volunteering the chassis and my time to this project. If you have any drag parts laying around in your shop that you could help these kids with there project it would be a great help to them. They are on a very small budget but they are looking for a drag seat , 3 speed auto shifter, msd parts, and some slicks 11in x 30 in that range or anything that they might be able to need. PLEASE contact their teacher Dave Ferguson at 620-238-9785 THANKS MOKAN lets get these kids ate up with drag racing like we are. :layrubber: :layrubber:

I have a seat and a electric fan I would be happy to donate, these programs are great for these kids, if my school would have had a program like this I probably wouldn't have got in to so much trouble when I was their age.

This is fantastic! Exactly what we need to keep our sport and our track healthy. I also believe that young folks who get involved in any sport are less likely to engage in personally destructive behavior. And since not everyone is an athlete, these types of programs are sorely needed!

Let them know that Mo-Kan is prepared to help in anyway we can!

Hello to all!! My name is Dave Ferguson and I'm the Automotive instructor at Parsons High School. I first need to give a big THANK YOU!! to a deserving and awesome Ken Snyder at Snyder Motorsports!! The chassis looks great and the students are pumped!! They wanted to put in another late night and place the cab on. I believe we are planting the seed of sparks and combustible fuels. We also need to thank Jeremy Puoch (460), and Jason Diskin ( Hurst Shifter), Damen Leach (565 Cam).
There is nothing like showing a young adult the potential they have when they put their mind and hands together like a well oiled machine.. :nice:
Perry Franks, We thank you for your donations, you can contact me at 620-238-9785
Carl Blanton, our target date for our first race is May 3 2013. When are the high school drags?

Went to Parsons high school today and helped the kids work on their truck. It is neat to watch how excited they are to be working on the truck. Great job boys it almost done.
