SBC race parts, oil pans/pumps, water pump, pistons, carbs

Postby 62ChevyII on Tue Feb 26, 2013 9:40 pm

I have a few SBC race parts for sale.

First up I have an aluminum Hamburgers race oil pan for an SBC with a full length kick out, built in windage screen and trap doors. It is a dirt track/oval racing pan but would work for drag racing too. It is 7" deep at the sump and 5" deep in the front. It was on a dirt car and had a small cut in the bottom of the sump that has been welded up and is fully functional. It has some cosmetic pits on the exterior surfaces but nothing that would affect performance. This is a $550+ oil pan when new and will free up a lot of horse power. I am asking $250.

I also have a steel SBC drag race oil pan with a kick out, built in windage tray and trap doors. It is for a tube chassis car or dragster with no crossmember under the engine. It is 8.25 deep in the back and 7" in the front. It has been repaired from kicking out a rod but it works fine and makes good power too. Asking $125 for it.

Next I have a CSI electric water pump that has a couple cosmetic scratches but works great. This is a $300 pump when new, asking $125 for it.

Next I have a new in the box Melling Select high volume oil pump. It's a $99 pump from Jegs, I am asking $75 for it and I will throw in an aftermarket oil pump drive shaft.

I also have a M77HV Melling high volume oil pump for BBC that is new, asking $30 for it.

I also have a few Holley carbs for sale. One 750 DP with chrome fuel bowls and recent rebuild $175. One 650 DP that has been sitting a while and probably could use a kit, $135 and last I have a 650DP spread bore that looks to be in good shape and came off a running vehicle not too long ago $125

Curtis,

What is the maximum stroke on the Crower oil pan? I am going to 3.875 stroke in a 400 block. I am hopeing this oil pan would work.

Thanks,
Clint

I don't really know for sure. I had it mocked up on my 3.75 stroke with Callies Compstar rods and it cleared. You might have to trim back the scraper for rod clearance along the top of the kickout to get it to clear but I really don't know for sure. It's not actually a Crower pan, it is a custom fabricated pan that started with a factory pan rail and has Crower decals on it. :-)

I also have a good set of 4.030" bore Probe forged flat tops for a 3.75" stroke 6.0" rod 383 SBC. They have about 3,000 street miles on them and a few passes at the track. They were in a street/strip car of a friend of mine and he accidentally let it freeze the block a couple years ago. He made the jump to LS motor stuff and I bought his 383 stuff. They have some minor scuffing on the skirts but nothing major. I had planned on using these pistons eventually but could use the money more right now. Asking $225 for them with pins and locks.
