2005 F-150 brake rotors getting hot

Postby 84foxbox on Wed Jun 19, 2013 5:18 pm

My 05 f150 4x4.
New pads
New rotors
New lines all within a week old

Its still smokin the pads and glowin cherry red at night.. other that the calipers everything is new they felt good while compressing the pistons back in. Anyone had this problem or knows a fix please let me know. Hopefully this fix is easier than my mustang post. I'd appreciate any info.

Thank you jesse..

Is there excessive drag, with the wheel off the ground? If so, the piston may be stuck in the caliper.

The Master cylinder has a check valve to replive pressure could be bad if its a old cylinder then check free play in brake pedal if not enough the bounnce of it could build up pressure slowly with out you knowing it first check that master cylinder if it is sludgy looking fulid i woud change it some pins that are pushed by the pedal are adjustable
