Thanks!! There's lots of times I get frustrated with this sport but there's a few things that make it all worth while!
1. That flash of the ambers and the release of the button brings an adrenaline rush like no drug or drink could ever match.
2. Comments like the one above. We certainly aren't racing for the financial benefits so it's always nice to hear compliments. Additionally, the fans and spectators that come to watch are the real backbone of this sport. Without them, we'd have no place to race. Thanks to all the tracks that allow the fans access to the pit area too.
3. The friends I've made racing are priceless. Very few sports demonstrate the comradery seen in and around the pits of a drag race. From loaning tools to an extra set of dirty hands, we seem to come together for the love of the sport. Amazingly too is that that all ends when the helmets buckle and starts right back again when they unbuckle at the other end.
