Look at the Trend pushrods. I bought a set for my SB. 3/8" x .080 wall moly, 2 different lengths for ex. and in., 210° 5/16 ball tapered on one end, standard 5/16 reduction on the other, laser etched with size, black oxide coated. $125.00 One of the best deals I have found. They make them in .025" increments instead of the normal .050" like most.

Good info Curtis. Thanks. There's this other guy named Curt trying to sell me on the idea of lightweight wooden pushrods! Seemed like a nice Guy. Salesman maybe.

Speaking of pushrods...... Other than checking heads for clearance, would a person have to do anything special to run a 3/8" pushrod in a SBC?? Oil volume would be a lot more wouldn't it? Would that create any sort of an issue?? Just curious. :ubergeek:

Typically in a small block you have to run some sort of offset to clear the intake port. I am running Yella Terra shaft rockers and the intake rocker has .150" of offset to help clear the 3/8" I am running. Or you can run an offset lifter. Oil volume in the pushrod is negligible in my opinion.

Are these wooden pushrods Oak, Hickory, Walnut, Pine or Balsa?

Just an FYI.... I found out from a guy at Trend that they supply Comp Cams with all their pushrods. And from what I have seen, buying the Comp brand is quite a bit cheaper than getting them from Trend. :ubergeek:

Question about off-the-shelf pushrods. Does anyone use Manley pushrods or know anything about them? They seem like a good value.

Ended up going with another set of Trickflow pushrods, have had no issues over the last ten years with them. Thought about going Balsa, that Salesman didn't talk me into it though!
