8th Annual SAE Carshow

Post by 71_bigblocknova »

April 19th, 2008. 8am - 3pm in the Gorilla Village. Right behind the football stadium at PSU. Still working out the details, but I will update as me make decisions. Entry $10 for carshow contestants. Will have classes for classic, muscle, modern musle, late model and tuners. Will have offical judges, not votes by who's there. Will have (hopefully) tons of give away prizes as well as raffel prizes. Also looking for largest car club attendence, and long hauler. Should have some pretty awsome home-made trophies, they may be a little heavy tho. . Still debating on a cruise that night and possibly a trip out to mokan for low et and best reaction time. We will hopefully have pre-registration open by January as well as a website link.

I was just messing around :) I really figured I'd hear comments like " If it will start " or maybe " Will it make the trip without a wrecker? " . I'll be there.

:D Now THAT'S funny right there. Oddly enough, I do have a 2002 Chevy 2500HD that I pull with. It's got one of those stump pulling, gas drinking 6.0 liters that rattles like it's coming apart. I've never owned an engine that made so many noises. From tics like a lifter to knocks like a skirt or a rod ... this darned engine makes 'em all. Just about the time you look for parts to start flying ... it quiets down and goes away. I guess I'll just drive it until it throws a scrap iron fit. See ya in April.

well, as they say. A chevy will run bad longer than most engines run at all. :o
