We are saddened to report that longtime Mo-Kan racer David Nivens passed away Sunday April 12, 2020 of a heart attack.
David had raced at Mo-Kan for at least 30 years, winning the No/E Championship in 2004, and several Bracket events. David normally ran
Super Pro, for the last several years with a small block Chevy Dragster. David was very loyal to Mo-Kan, and was there to help whenever needed. I recall that my first Memorial Weekend here in 1999, David came out on Saturday before the race and help replace bleacher boards and get the track ready. He was always ready with a smile and a funny story, he was a wonderful man and we will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with his wife Leisa and son Brandon. We'll pass along memorial information when available.
