Stage

A question of stage, has come up, like what causes red lights.

The electronic stage lights, can be so exact, that a move of one millionth of an inch, can cause the light to come on, or go out.

The least stable car there, is a rail. Very light, big power, and the motor is solid bolted to the chassis. Romp into it. and it will shake.

The trans brake may not hold, as how long since the trans, was rebuilt, or the bands adjusted.

Even if the trans brake does hold, there can be play in the ring and pinion, of .005-.008, and that can be enough, to let the car, move enough, to red light.

Also, the frame bends, and that changes the wheel base, and can red light the car.

All of these things, can happen in the stage beams, if staged lite.

To lock the car down, a line lock is needed, as well as the trans brake.

A footbrake car, locks 4 of the wheels, and even if it does move, it is forward, and most drivers stage lite, and have leeway.

The timing system, is a million times more accurate, than the car..
